Birthdays and more!

Today is Anna's 7th Birthday! Happy Birthday. We had fun making a day all about Anna. She is so sweet and fun to have in our family. We had a birthday party "late over" scheduled last night but we had to postpone it until next Saturday because Sarah, Claire, & Maria have all been sick. (I guess one birthday gift Anna received was a gift of health this year!) We'll let you know how the upcoming party goes with a bunch of excited little girls running about the house!

Maria turned ONE last Sunday! How can my baby be one? It was so wonderful to celebrate her life of one year. It's hard to remember life without her. Maria is in love with dogs and babies so we thought a cake like this would be appropriate. As soon as her eyes caught hold of the cake she immediately started barking and reaching for the cake. She was suprised when the frosting stuck to her hand when she grabbed at the dog. But she quickly figured out this birthday cake was delicious to eat!Maria loves her new walker! She picked up the idea right away. She new exactly what to do without any instruction. This is her favorite way to walk around the house. Hopefully she'll start walking soon with this kind of practice!

Over New Years we went up to Big Bear and stayed in a cabin with our friends. We had such a great time. Snow is a novelty since we aren't around it. It was a really warm day, perfect for building a snowcave!This is the snowcave on the outside, still in the making. (Three ways in.)

We went to Sea World over Christmas break. (It was a cold day for CA) We have passes this year, so if you come visit you'll have to join us!
